【摘要】Ultrasound can penetrate the human tissue or organ without ionizing radiation injury. It can treat the disease by mechanical effects, cavitation effects, thermal effects and other effects.
The talk will introduce the new technology on modeling, bioeffects of ultrasound and thermal therapy, standards and safety, cavitation, transducers and devices, treatment planning and control, novel therapeutic systems and strategies, non-invasive monitoring and assessment, drug and biotherapeutics delivery, brain and BBB, nanotechnology and microbubbles, sonothrombolysis, ultrasound thermal therapy, hyperthermia, thermal ablation, neuromodulation, MR guided phased High Intensity Focused Ultrasound (MR-PHIFU) system and clinical development. MR-PHIFU can be used on accurate image guidance and temperature measurement to realize the combination of concise diagnostics and HIFU therapy.
【报告人简介】 Guofeng Shen is the special research scientist, doctoral supervisor, School of Biomedical Engineering, Shanghai Jiao Tong University. Dr. Guofeng Shen received his Ph. D. in instrument science and technology from Harbin Institute of Technology in 2004 and finished his post doctor research work in BME department of SJTU in 2006. Since 2011-2012, Dr. Guofeng Shen was appointed as a visiting associate professor in Focused Ultrasound Lab of Harvard Medical School, Harvard University. Dr. Guofeng Shen was the chairman of program committee of ISTU 2013 Conference, the member of Instrument Committee of Chinese Society of Ultrasound Medical Engineering, the member of Youth Committee of Chinese Society of BME. Peer reviewer of Applied Acoustic and some other international professional journals. Hosted more than 20 projects, published over 70 papers, authorized 11 patents and 3 software copyrights. Won the 1st price of Shanghai Science and Technology Progress Award and 3rd price of Chinese Medical Committee Science and Technology Progress Award. The main research is focused on intelligence instrument, physical treatment technology and MR guided phased focused ultrasound technology. The first MR-PHIFU system was successfully developed and certificated by the Chinese authority inspection agency.
